Giancarlo Rizzoli has a doctorate in natural sciences and holds an Executive MBA. He has more than twenty years of experience in various management positions in international and global enterprises (including Synthes, Mathys and Heraeus). He is an experienced C-level manager, with a broad understanding of innovative processes and operative procedures as well as Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs. While working in the headquarters of the company he has demonstrated his ability to offer competitive performance on several occasions. As an International Sales Manager, he has also shown how to implement an efficient local distribution network in tough global markets.

Giancarlo Rizzoli is also a renowned expert both in the field of biomaterials and biotechnological products as well as regenerative methods and metal implants. Since 2006, he has been member of the board of the Swiss Society for Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine.

Within anfass Life Technologies AG, Giancarlo Rizzoli is primarily engaged in the area of due diligence and scouting and in start-up projects in the fields of molecular diagnostics and hygiene. His longer-term board mandates focus on privately owned SMEs.
